Min-Gyu Cho wins Kansai Open - Sacramento Bee

Min-Gyu Cho earned his first Japan Golf Tour victory on Sunday when he captured the Kansai Open Golf Championship by four strokes.

The Korean, who held the third-round lead, shot a two-under 69 in the final round and was the only player with four sub-70 rounds for the week. Cho finished at 14-under 270 for the comfortable win at Ono Golf Club.

Cho lost a playoff last year at the Nagashima Shigeo Invitational Sega Sammy Cup and that was his best finish on the Japan Golf Tour until Sunday.

Yoshikazu Haku managed an even-par 71 and took second at minus-10.

Neven Basic (69) and Tomokazu Yoshinaga (70) shared third at nine-under 275.

Yuta Ikeda fired a five-under 66 on Sunday and his share of 12th place netted him enough money to move past Kyung-tae Kim into first on the tour's money list.

Kim is playing the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour this week.
